Britons emigrate
The Office of National Statistics is due to release figures of 2 million Britons who have emigrated in the last 10 years.
Why are so many Britons leaving?
Is it due to the ease of settling in another country?

The weather in the UK is never a positive but with the increase in living expenses as well, I think that that pushes more people to move abroad. I’ve been away from Britain for the last 2 years and the only part I have truly missed is the greenery.
I’m not surprised that so many are leaving, but equally I know of lots of Brits wanting to leave Spain to return to family in their old age.
Soaring food and utility bills - your money can go a lot further abroad - and the sun shines too.
Having lived abroad in the past, returning due to visa expiry, I can totally understand why Brits are relocating overseas. Not so much for the warmer weather (always a bonus), but to steadier economies, with lower living costs and a more sensible pace of life!
Who wants to work all the hours under the sun, only to spend all their wages just making ends meet?

I love life out on the Costa del Sol but it usually takes me two to three days to settle down when I come over from England. One thing that really annoys me here is not being able to get through to the phone company easily - but at least they try to speak to you in your own language. How many companies in england could do this without the use of translators?
