Award winning “Aurora!”

Mike Perkins, site manager at the Astins Development site at Aurora, Goring by Sea, has been nominated to receive an award as Winner of the LABC Site Manager Award for 2008.

The Local Authority Building Control are the body that ensures our development at Eirene Road complies fully with the statutory requirements of the Building Regulations. They are also the organisation that provides the 10 year warranty which is an alternative to the NHBC warranty more commonly issued by Developers.

This award is given to reward those individuals who have stood out from the crowd by continuing to embrace customer service, high quality design and build as well as tackling environmental issues. Winners of the award are selected by LABC’s own surveying and technical service teams, based on reports received from their on-site surveyors with whom Mike regularly meets. Criteria used in the selection process includes organisation, health and safety on site, quality of work, quality control and customer relations.
